Starting as an Infantry Company Commander, he swiftly rose through the ranks, showcasing leadership and tactical prowess. He distinguished himself as a Brigade Commander and later attained the rank of Major General. Throughout his tenure, he held pivotal roles such as Additional Director General of Military Operations and Deputy Chief of Army Staff, where he played a crucial role in shaping military strategies and operational plans. His extensive experience in border issues and counter-terrorism operations, including service in Banbasa, Uttarakhand, has been instrumental in safeguarding national security interests.
